USA Canada Border—Northward trains, engines, and track<br />
equipment must have permission from Canada Customs<br />
before any portion crosses <strong>the</strong> USA Canada Border.<br />
Conductor must furnish a copy <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> wheel report to Canada<br />
Customs upon request, and accompany customs <strong>of</strong>ficers on a<br />
train inspection when asked to do so. Before departing <strong>the</strong> onduty<br />
location, conductor will complete and fax Canada<br />
Customs Rail Crew Report to Swift, and will contact BNSF<br />
RTC New Westminster to have Daily Operating Bulletin(s)<br />
faxed to <strong>the</strong> on-duty location. When ready to depart Swift,<br />
crew will contact <strong>the</strong> BNSF RTC New Westminster on <strong>the</strong><br />
radio to obtain a clearance.<br />
Exception: Amtrak passenger trains will obtain a clearance<br />
from <strong>the</strong> BNSF RTC New Westminster by fax at Bellingham. If<br />
unable to obtain a clearance in this manner, contact <strong>the</strong> BNSF<br />
RTC New Westminster by radio before leaving Swift.<br />
Southward trains, engines, and track equipment arriving White<br />
Rock must have permission from US Customs before any<br />
portion crosses <strong>the</strong> USA Canada Border. Southward trains will<br />
call Swift and obtain permission to proceed from USA Canada<br />
Border to Swift for inspection.<br />
Colebrook—Roberts Bank Line—Roberts Bank is a<br />
designated 1000-mile train inspection location. All trains, except<br />
trains inspected at Interbay, are to be tested and inspected by<br />
<strong>the</strong> train crew before departing Roberts Bank in accordance<br />
with <strong>the</strong> provisions <strong>of</strong> ABTH Rule 100.10.<br />
Any car that is found to be defective and is safe to move is to<br />
be taken to Colebrook and set out for repair by <strong>the</strong> BNSF<br />
Mechanical Department. Any car that cannot be safely moved<br />
is to be set out on <strong>the</strong> industrial stub track at Roberts Bank as<br />
directed by BC Rail Operations Supervisor.<br />
Trains using Roberts Bank Line must have current Roberts<br />
Bank Route joint DOB. BC Rail Port Subdivision monthly bulletin<br />
is posted at Swift. Crews operating to or from Roberts Bank will<br />
be governed <strong>the</strong>reby while on BCR trackage.<br />
CROR Block and Interlocking Signals, Rules 405 through 430,<br />
apply on BCR trackage.<br />
Fraser River Jct.—Trainman’s walkway and handrail on<br />
Fraser River Bridge swing span have been removed.<br />
