Final Environmental Impact Statement<br />
For <strong>the</strong> Wailea Alanui/Wailea Ike Drive intersection improvements, design has been<br />
completed, a draft and final EA were prepared, and <strong>the</strong> County Department <strong>of</strong> Public<br />
Works has accepted <strong>the</strong> final EA and issued a Finding <strong>of</strong> No Significant Impact which was<br />
published in <strong>the</strong> Environmental Notice on January 23, 2010. Appendix S contains<br />
<strong>the</strong> complete Wailea Ike Drive and Wailea Alanui Drive Intersection Improvements Final<br />
EA. The Maui Planning Commission has also approved A a Special Area Management<br />
Area Use Permit application is also being processed for <strong>the</strong> intersection improvements on<br />
April 13, 2010.<br />
-Related Traffic Improvements<br />
In addition to <strong>the</strong> regional traffic improvements discussed above, and in fur<strong>the</strong>r<br />
compliance with County <strong>of</strong> Maui Ordinance No. 3554, , LLC will also<br />
provide <strong>the</strong> following traffic improvements specifically related to :<br />

implement this condition, and in accordance with <strong>the</strong> recommendations <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

right-turn lane. Allow <strong>the</strong> Piilani Highway southbound right-turn to be a<br />
free turning movement by providing an exclusive westbound receiving lane<br />
on Wailea Ike Drive.<br />
o Eastbound approach: Provide two exclusive left-turn lanes (with a protected<br />
left-turn signal phase) and an exclusive through lane.<br />
o Westbound Approach: Provide an exclusive through lane, and an exclusive<br />
right-turn lane.<br />
