JEL® Circular Interpolation Grooving<br />

A completely new tool concept<br />

Method description:<br />

With circular interpolation grooving, the principle of external<br />

grooving is transferred from a machining centre to a lathe<br />

by programming the machining centre spindle as an axis.<br />

The tool is then moved outwards at grooving depth on a helical<br />

interpolation path programmed by the machine control.<br />

At every point on the circular path the cutting edge is vertical<br />

to the bore tangent.<br />

Application areas:<br />

For all internal and external grooves, angled grooves and<br />

annular slots.<br />

Tool design:<br />

An extremely wide variety of tool designs specifically<br />

matched to the machining task in question.<br />
