production package, extension etc.<br />

3. Supervision of the rehabilitation team members <strong>and</strong> provide technical<br />

administrative guidance to field workers, farmers etc. for proper implementation of<br />

the programme.<br />

4. Provide technical backstopping to the rehabilitation team members, Agriculture<br />

Department officials, NGOs field workers etc. whenever sought<br />

5. Maintain contact with the authorities in the agriculture, animal husb<strong>and</strong>ry., fishery<br />

<strong>and</strong> forestry departments both in state HQ <strong>and</strong> in the affected districts for their<br />

support <strong>and</strong> co-operation<br />

6. Provide feedback <strong>and</strong> assessment reports on the activities carried out by<br />

rehabilitation team on a regular basis.<br />

7. Liaison with other UN agencies, Govt. Bodies, NGOs, CBOs etc working in the field.<br />

8. Submit periodic monitoring <strong>and</strong> evaluation report <strong>and</strong> assist field missions in the<br />

assessment <strong>and</strong> also to prepare a field project completion report at the end.<br />

Team composition<br />

(i) Advance group:<br />

• Composition: This will comprise of:<br />

<strong>Disaster</strong> Management Focal Point (01) – To liaison with the NGOs/INGO <strong>and</strong> the<br />

government officials in the area <strong>and</strong> coordinate with the DMU on hourly basis.<br />

Skill Set:<br />

(a) If the decisions have to be made at a policy level, the DM FP should have<br />

minimum 10-15 years of experience at a senior level post, preferably in a government<br />

outfit. At least five years of experience in the field of disaster management would be<br />

desirable. The c<strong>and</strong>idate should have excellent communication skills, be aware of latest<br />

technologies <strong>and</strong> their use. Knowledge of local language <strong>and</strong> area would be preferable.<br />

Job Responsibilities:<br />

• Interact with senior government officials <strong>and</strong> take quick decisions.<br />

• Interact with the various nodal agencies that would be present during the disaster<br />

situation<br />

• Interact with INGOs /relief agencies <strong>and</strong> other UN agencies in order to coordinate<br />

the relief work.<br />

• Send regular updates to the County Office along with requisition for men <strong>and</strong><br />

material. Lay down requirements for the follow up team.,<br />

• Attend meetings <strong>and</strong> delegate duties to the team members present.<br />

• Identify the emergency role of each staff member for disaster situation.<br />

• Synergy among all partners including UN agencies, INGOs <strong>and</strong> bilaterals.<br />

Logistics Officer (01)- To look after the needs of the <strong>UNDP</strong> staff in the field as well as to<br />

carry out coordination for material requirements in the affected area. S/he shall be looking<br />
