• Conduct an initial assessment within seven days for<br />

identification of need<br />

• Help the Information officer collection of data <strong>and</strong><br />

updating the information<br />

• Assisting the Communication officer <strong>and</strong> Information<br />

officer in gathering <strong>and</strong> dissemination of information<br />

• H<strong>and</strong>le & log all internal/field/UNDMU/Donor<br />

communication)<br />

• Setting up the communication equipments (l<strong>and</strong> phones,<br />

fax, computers with internet, Sat phones, mobiles, Ham<br />

Radio through the procurement officer <strong>and</strong> test the same<br />

• Assessing the health situation on site of disaster <strong>and</strong><br />

immediate setting up of health control rooms.<br />

• Disease Surveillance established <strong>and</strong> reporting to field<br />

• SITREP sharing with GoI/Donor/OCHA/Embassies<br />

• Updating to UN headquarter on the <strong>Disaster</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />

• Resource Mobilisation intensified<br />
