Hardware Setup<br />

Supplying Power to the Summit <strong>WM3400</strong><br />

<strong>Wireless</strong> <strong>LAN</strong> <strong>Controller</strong><br />

Power Inlet<br />

1 Plug the power supply into the power inlet at the back of the Summit <strong>WM3400</strong><br />

wireless <strong>LAN</strong> controller. See “Power Cord Specifications and Power Requirements”<br />

on page 9 for more information on power requirements.<br />

2 Plug the cord into a standard AC outlet with a voltage range of 100 to 240 VAC.<br />

WARNING!<br />

An improper shutdown can render the Summit <strong>WM3400</strong> wireless <strong>LAN</strong> controller inoperable<br />

such that it could require service by <strong>Extreme</strong> <strong>Networks</strong> Support. Do not remove AC power<br />

without first following the shutdown procedure. An abrupt loss of power can corrupt the<br />

information stored on the device.<br />
