Psychology<br />
GCSE Psychology aims to give you an introduction<br />
to the science behind people’s behaviour and how<br />
it can be used to improve quality of life. By the<br />
end of your course, you should have developed<br />
a critical approach to scientific methods and<br />
evidence, a knowledge and understanding of how<br />
psychology works and its role in society.<br />
Entry Requirements<br />
Standard entry requirements for a Level 2 course apply.<br />
Course Expenses<br />
A textbook can be purchased to support your study.<br />
Career Prospects/Progression<br />
After GCSE Psychology, you could progress to A Level<br />
Psychology, which is a higher, popular and useful qualification,<br />
widely accepted for entry to Higher Education courses.<br />

Additional Science<br />
This course covers the broad scientific study of<br />
Biology, Physics and Chemistry. You will learn<br />
scientific facts and develop an understanding of<br />
how Science works in the world at large. You<br />
will develop skills for carrying out practical work<br />
and analysing the results of experiments.<br />
This course will give you the opportunity to<br />
achieve two GCSEs (GCSE Science and<br />
GCSE Additional Science).<br />
Entry Requirements<br />
You should have grade D in GCSE Science/Additional Science.<br />
Career Prospects/Progression<br />
Many employers and colleges will expect you to have grade C or<br />
above in GCSE Science or GCSE Additional Science. If you want<br />
to continue studying or working in Science, a grade C or above in<br />
both GCSEs is essential.<br />
