Sir William Ramsay School 6 th Form Prom 2011
To celebrate the end of their time at Sir William Ramsay School a Prom has been
organised at the De Vere Hotel, Four Ashes Road, Cryers Hill, High Wycombe, HP15 6LB,
on Friday, 24 th June 2011. This is an annual event which is exclusively for Sir William
Ramsay students; it is a great opportunity for the Year 13’s to get together for the final time
as a year group. The evening starts at 7.00 pm and finishes at 11.30 pm. The cost of the
evening will be £22.00 which will include a welcome drink, buffet, and disco. We have
been assured that all meat products will be to Halal standards.
If you wish your son/daughter to participate in this event, please sign and return the
attached Parental Consent Form and reply slip to Reception, together with your payment
of £22.00 each (please make cheques payable to ‘Sir William Ramsay School’), no later
than 3.00 pm, on Monday, 16 th May 2011. N.B. Places will be given on a first-come,
first-served basis. We cannot guarantee availability of places after the deadline
date; therefore it is advisable to book your place early. You are also required to sign
to indicate your acceptance of the conditions of attendance and to give the school a
contact telephone number in the event that we need to contact you during the evening.
The school reserves the right to not allow entry to students should they arrive having drunk
excessively.
A photographer will be present during the Prom to record the event. The cost of each
photograph is £7.50 or £20.00 for three photographs. These can be ordered and paid for
during the course of the evening; if they are ordered at a later date, there is a charge for
postage.
It is important that your son/daughter is collected from the De Vere Hotel promptly at 11.30
pm. If transport has been arranged and is late then parents/guardians will be asked to
collect their son/daughter from the venue.
Students are permitted to bring a guest to the event; however we would ask for details of
the guest and their parent/guardian’s details in case of an emergency.
Could I also ask you to reinforce to your son or daughter that this is a non-smoking event
and that serious consequences will follow if this policy is not adhered to. In line with the
hotel’s regulations, students aged 18 and over will be asked for photographic evidence of
proof of age should they wish to purchase alcoholic drinks from the paying bar.
Final arrangements for the event will be confirmed nearer the time once all payments and
forms have been returned.
