Resolution #14-12, General Child Care and Development Program, submitted by Joel<br />

Gordon, in the amount of $209,966.00, from the California State Department of Education,<br />

with no district match required. This grant provides a practicum experience for child<br />

development students and students from other disciplines, allows parents to attend classes<br />

and work while enrolled, and promotes the healthy growth and development of young<br />

children. (Award notification received)<br />

CARES Plus, submitted by Joel Gordon, in the amount of $26,708.00, from the Childcare<br />

Planning Council, with no district match required. This grant will provide support services<br />

to CARES Plus participants via the Child Development, Counseling and Tutorial<br />

departments. (Award notification received)<br />

Mental Health Services Act – Prevention and Early Intervention (MHSA-PEI), submitted by<br />

Susan Quinn, in the amount of $90,000.00, from the County of Sonoma, with no district<br />

match required. This grant will provide preventative mental health services within the<br />

district. (Pending award notification)<br />

–Trustee Call commended all staff involved in seeking and getting these grants, and<br />

complimented Joel Gordon on continuously successfully pursuing grants.<br />

F. QUARTERLY FINANCIAL REPORT<br />

Approved the submission of the Quarterly Financial Status Report to the Chancellor’s<br />

Office for the period ending June 30, 2012.<br />

G. DESTRUCTION OF RECORDS<br />

Authorized the Purchasing Director to destroy the records as indicated on the list included<br />

with agenda.<br />

H. DECLARATION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY<br />

Approved the declaration of surplus property.<br />

I. BURBANK AUDITORIUM AND ROBERT CALL CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER<br />

CHILLER REPLACEMENTS PROJECT, PERMISSION TO GO TO BID WITH ADVANCE<br />

AWARD OF BID<br />

Authorized the administration to go to bid for the Burbank Auditorium and Robert Call Child<br />

Development Center Chiller Replacements Project, and award the bid contingent upon the<br />

amount being within budget.<br />

J. B. ROBERT BURDO CULINARY ARTS CENTER PROJECT, MULTI-PRIME DIVISION,<br />

#2, BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AND SITE WORK, CHANGE ORDERS #23<br />

Approved Change Order #23 in the amount of $82,500.00 for the B. Robert Burdo Culinary<br />

Arts Center Project, Multi-Prime Division #2, Building Construction and Site Work, for a<br />

revised contract amount of $8,490,230.00.<br />

K. B. ROBERT BURDO CULINARY ARTS CENTER PROJECT, MULTI-PRIME DIVISION,<br />

#2, BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AND SITE WORK, NOTICE OF COMPLETION<br />

Accepted as complete the work for B. Robert Burdo Culinary Arts Center Project, Multi-<br />

Prime Division #2, Building Construction and Site Work, and directed staff to record a<br />

Notice of Completion with the County of Sonoma.<br />
