HANCOCK COUNTY EMERGENCY PLAN<br />

B. Operational<br />

1. Emergency Level - Unusual Event<br />

No Action Required.<br />

2. Emergency Level - Alert<br />

a. Review the public alert/notification resource list. (Enclosure 1)<br />

b. Request local EAS stations to initiate and maintain standby status.<br />

(Enclosure 2)<br />

c. Prepare the CityWatch Alert System for use (See Annex P,<br />

Appendice 3).<br />

d. Coordinate with the Fire Services Officer to request Route Alerting<br />

Teams standby at their Stations and report manpower shortages.<br />

e. Review emergency public information Alert messages and update as<br />

necessary. (See <strong>SOP</strong> No. 2).<br />

f. Maintain Alert Status until emergency level escalation or reduction<br />

or closeout.<br />

3. Emergency Level - Site Area Emergency<br />

a. Review the public alert/notification resource list. (Enclosure 1)<br />

b. Request local EAS stations to initiate and maintain standby status<br />

(Enclosure 2).<br />

c. Prepare the CityWatch Alert System for use (See Annex P, Appendice 3).<br />

d. Coordinate with the Fire Services Officer to assure Route Alerting<br />

Teams are at their Stations, and ready for dispatch.<br />

e. Dispatch resources to fire stations identifying manpower shortages.<br />

f. Review EAS Alert messages and update as necessary. (See <strong>SOP</strong> No.<br />

2).<br />

g. Maintain readiness posture until protective response is indicated,<br />

emergency level escalation or reduction or closeout.<br />
