HANCOCK COUNTY EMERGENCY PLAN
B. Operational
1. Emergency Level - Unusual Event
No Action Required.
2. Emergency Level - Alert
a. Review the public alert/notification resource list. (Enclosure 1)
b. Request local EAS stations to initiate and maintain standby status.
(Enclosure 2)
c. Prepare the CityWatch Alert System for use (See Annex P,
Appendice 3).
d. Coordinate with the Fire Services Officer to request Route Alerting
Teams standby at their Stations and report manpower shortages.
e. Review emergency public information Alert messages and update as
necessary. (See SOP No. 2).
f. Maintain Alert Status until emergency level escalation or reduction
or closeout.
3. Emergency Level - Site Area Emergency
a. Review the public alert/notification resource list. (Enclosure 1)
b. Request local EAS stations to initiate and maintain standby status
(Enclosure 2).
c. Prepare the CityWatch Alert System for use (See Annex P, Appendice 3).
d. Coordinate with the Fire Services Officer to assure Route Alerting
Teams are at their Stations, and ready for dispatch.
e. Dispatch resources to fire stations identifying manpower shortages.
f. Review EAS Alert messages and update as necessary. (See SOP No.
2).
g. Maintain readiness posture until protective response is indicated,
emergency level escalation or reduction or closeout.
