screen
The screen action tells the Action Manager to send the events received from
the queue to the screen on a user-defined host, as shown in the following
example:
Action screen; systemb
In the example, the Action Manager sends the events received from the
queue to the screen on systemb.
Note: The screen action is for Windows systems only.
mail
The mail action tells the Action Manager to send events received from the
queue to a specific email address, as shown in the following example:
Action mail; administrator@myorg.com
In the example, the Action Manager sends the events received from the
queue to the email address of the administrator.
SNMP
The SNMP action tells the Action Manager to send events received from the
queue by the SNMP protocol to the user-defined host, as shown in the
following example:
Action SNMP; systemc
In this example, the Action Manager routes SNMP events to the host
systemc.
file
The file action tells the Action Manager to write the events received from the
queue to a file as shown in the following example:
Action file; c:\events\myevents.txt
In this example, the Action Manager writes events to the
c:\events\myevents.txt file.
route
The route action tells the Action Manager to send router events to a remote
host where the router of that host handles them as shown in the following
example:
Action route; systema
In this example, the Action Manager sends router events to the router on
systema.
remote
The remote action tells the Action Manager to move records from a queue to
a remote router and performs any action on this remote host. For example:
Action remote; systema; monitor;systemb
In this example, the Action Manager moves the events to the remote router
on the host, systema, where they will are sent to the security monitor on
systemb.
