6.4.2. NURSES AND MIDWIVES COUNCIL
The Nurses and Midwives Council of Ghana is mandated to regulate nursing and midwifery
education and practice. The Council collaborates with the Ministry of Health to implement
policies that aim at ensuring that the general public has access to quality healthcare by nurses
and midwives.
improving quality of care.
