While the average budgets for French-language documentary series increased overall,
there was some movement in the middle range of per-hour budgets. Specifically, while there
were an increasing number of projects at the higher level of per-hour budgets, the per-hour
budgets declined from 53% in the $100,000-249,999 range in 2009/10 to 45% by 2010/11
during this time. Reflecting this shift, the number of series with per-hour budgets in the
under $100,000 range increased from 39% to 43% in 2010/11.
