IV. Quality Control
Thc analytical results for each analysis performed includes a minimum of one laboratory control sample
(LCS), one method (reagent) blank, and one duplicate sample analysis. Any exceptions have been noted
in the "Comments" section.
QC and sample results are reported in the same units.
V. Comments
Alphia Spectroscopy
Plutonium-238. -239/240 by method RL-ALP-002 (RICH-RC-50 10):
'The LCS, batch blank, samples and sample duplicate (JI9YB6) results are within contractual
requirements.
Gas Proportional Counting
Strontium-90 by method RL-QPC-003 (RICH-RC-5006):
'[he L.CS, batch blank, samples and sample duplicate (J I9Y-B5) results are within contractual
requirements.
Gamma Spectroscopy
Gamma Spec by method RL-GAM-00lI (RICI I-RC-50 17):
There was insufficient volume for a duplicate. Sample JI19YB34 was recounted on a different detector for
the duplicate (J19YB4 DUP).
The count times were reduced to meet the priority turn around time. The following samples and the LCS
do not meet the CRDL for Eu-152, Eu-154 & Eu-155 due to reduced count times.
