I am honoured to be appointed as <strong>Wintec</strong> Kaumātua. A former<br />
student and tutor at <strong>Wintec</strong>, I’m privileged to take up this role which<br />
is held in high regard by <strong>Wintec</strong>. I look forward to working with the<br />
Council Chair, the CE, staff and students to share my experience and<br />
knowledge of Tainuitanga protocol, and tikanga. Let us also remember<br />
and acknowledge our former Kaumātua, elder, leader, and statesman<br />
the late Dr Hare Puke, who guided us through many years of service<br />
and dedication towards academic excellence. He worked tirelessly to<br />
uphold <strong>Wintec</strong>’s reputation as a leading provider of high-quality applied,<br />
vocational and professional qualifi cations in Hamilton and the greater<br />
Waikato region.<br />
