The Contained Chilsonator
System (CCS) roll compaction
series from Fitzpatrick
incorporates the latest
developments in roll compaction
and models range in size from lab
to full scale production units.
The CCS Series is designed
to fully contain all product in its
processing and receiving sections.
The sealed design allows for the
optional product containment
system (PCS) to be added at
the discharge. This enables the
process area to be operated in an
inert environment or kept under
partial vacuum to maximise
product containment levels,
thereby enhancing the level of
safety for both the operator and
production facility.
In operation, the Fitzpatrick
agitated feed system delivers
material to the rolls utilising
a feed hopper, horizontal feed
screw for metering material
and a vertical pre-compression
screw for deaeration and
transport of feed material to
the compaction rolls. Its design
further improves process stability
and consistency, while ensuring
potential ungranulated bypass
is eliminated, explains UK agent

Offering maximum operational
flexibility, the Fitzpatrick CCS
series offers models that can be
installed as either free standing
or ‘in-wall’ units.

aggregation of serialised
individual drug packs to

Medtracker compatible

forwarding and storage as

manual reworks of cases and

(efficiency improvement tool)
which monitors line events and
status, includes a new module
called AQ-Clock for dynamic
accumulation monitoring.

ergonomic requirements and
facilitate efficient, fatigue free
on the line. It takes the
form of a simple countdown
highlighted on top of the
operators’ dashboard and
tells the operator exactly how
long he/she has to restart their
machine before the disruption
has an impact on the whole
production line.
This module is part of a
new user interface featuring
responsive web design.
It joins other modules that
address performance, quality,
losses, traceability, energy
consumption, video recording
operation. The electrically
height-adjustable, tilting
workbench, for instance,
allows cases to be loaded with
single items without exerting
any strain on the operators
back, and prevents tilting over
of small packs.
The intuitive user
interface on the large touch
screen practically rules out
aggregation errors.
The compact unit can be
incorporated into existing
production processes and,
thanks to integrated casters,
the manual station can
quickly be relocated for use at
other packaging lines.
Mediline CodeCollectM
is a full-spec solution
comprising a code scanning
camera for cases with up to
three layers of single items,
two wireless hand-held
scanners and two high speed
label printers for case and
pallet labels.
For case transport and
use as a buffer before
palletisation, an extendible
roller conveyor is available.
