This project surveyed U.S.-based org<strong>an</strong>izations, <strong>the</strong>refore every respondent has at least one <strong>of</strong>fice in <strong>the</strong> U.S., which<br />

explains <strong>the</strong> high level <strong>of</strong> response for org<strong>an</strong>izations working in <strong>the</strong> United States.<br />

Geographic Regions <strong>of</strong> Work: Of <strong>the</strong> 71<br />

org<strong>an</strong>izations that <strong>an</strong>swered this question, 52 percent<br />

work in East Africa <strong>an</strong>d 51 percent work in <strong>the</strong> Middle<br />

East <strong>an</strong>d North Africa (see figure 8). Each region,<br />

with <strong>the</strong> exception <strong>of</strong> Australia, New Zeal<strong>an</strong>d, <strong>an</strong>d <strong>the</strong><br />

Pacific Isl<strong>an</strong>ds, has at least 10 org<strong>an</strong>izations working<br />

in it. 44 Nearly half <strong>the</strong> org<strong>an</strong>izations have at least one<br />

<strong>of</strong>fice abroad. 45<br />
