Cardamom Washing and Polishing Machine Description of Technology Achievements Recognition Cardamom washing machine makes the washing process very simple, cost effective and efficient. The quality and hygiene of the cardamom could be substantially improved by undertaking washing process in this machine. The machine helps to reduce the manual labour and the water consumption. It makes effective drainage of water before it is kept for curing. Cardamom polishing machine can polish, clean and grade 250 kg of cardamom in one hour. This machine can be operated by hand also. Multi Purpose Processing Machine and Rain Tanker Description of Technology Achievements Recognition The farmer has developed a multipurpose processing machine capable of pulverizing and extracting oil from various herbs. It is designed in such a way to work as a big pressure cooker or a sterilizer. Using this machine, the innovator has also devised a method of extracting juices and essence from aloe-vera, amla and other herbs and their further processing for manufacturing of different products. It is light in weight and portable and thus reduces the cost of transportation of the raw materials from fields to processing site. Low cost of production enables common people to have herbal products in the form of gel, juice, essence etc. Capacity of machine is about 200 kg/h. The farmer has also developed mobile rain-gun fitted with water tank. The rain gun having coverage of 200 ft (diameter of circle) is fixed on water tank (5000 lit capacity). This multipurpose machine has been exported to Kenya and Nepal with the help of NIF. The farmer is also planning to setup a company with collaboration of foreign investors on a multinational level.
