Cheating, forgery, or plagiarism on homework<br />

or other minor projects<br />

Each teacher will have clearly stated expectations for<br />

homework and other minor class projects in the course syllabus. A<br />

student not acting within the expectations of academic integrity<br />

will receive appropriate disciplinary consequences as determined<br />

by the teacher and/or department chairperson. Consequences<br />

may include, but are not limited to: a zero on work related to the<br />

incident, demerits, and/or after school detentions. An<br />

accumulation of two academic integrity demerits will result in a<br />

major academic integrity violation. Academic integrity demerits<br />

will apply to the student’s entire career at CJ.<br />

Academic Probation<br />

The Academic Probation program is designed to assist those<br />

students who have demonstrated academic deficiencies during a<br />

grading period. <strong>Student</strong>s may also be placed on contract at the<br />

request of the counselor or Administration of the school when<br />

deemed necessary. Details will be explained to the parents at the<br />

time of placement on the contract.<br />

<strong>Student</strong> Reviews<br />

<strong>Student</strong>s not meeting expectations or not making adequate<br />

progress in the areas of academics, attendance or discipline will be<br />

notified as to the need to withdraw from <strong>Chaminade</strong> <strong>Julienne</strong> by a<br />

member of the administration. Additionally, the Business Office<br />

will review student accounts. Families not upholding their<br />

financial obligations may be notified as to the need to withdraw.<br />

College Courses/PSEO<br />

On the recommendation of the Principal, qualified students<br />

may take courses at local colleges or universities for college credit<br />

within the limitations of their high school schedule. <strong>Student</strong>s must<br />

notify their counselor of their intention to participate in the PSEO<br />

program no later than March 14 th of the current school year.<br />

Transcripts and College Forms<br />

(1)<strong>Student</strong> can request up to (6) Transcripts for $3.00 per<br />

transcript, including colleges, NCAA, etc. After six, the cost is<br />

$5.00/transcript request. (2) <strong>Chaminade</strong> <strong>Julienne</strong> reports ALL<br />

suspensions that have resulted from serious violations, whether a<br />

college requests the information or not. We also report any seniors<br />

who are suspended for any disciplinary issues. (3) All scores sent to<br />

<strong>Chaminade</strong> <strong>Julienne</strong> (PLAN, PSAT, OGT, SAT, ACT, etc.) will be<br />

included with the transcripts sent to other high schools, colleges,<br />

scholarships programs, summer programs, etc.<br />

Courses and Credits<br />

<strong>Student</strong>s take a minimum of six courses each semester. Only<br />

one full study hall is normally permitted per day. Courses offered<br />
