The role of the Army Library and Information Service
in Germany is to provide information in support of
operations, education, training, life-long learning
and recreational reading. This is achieved using
all the resources of a modern information service,
including books, periodicals, DVDs and CD-ROMs,
plus Internet and on-line facilities.
Services are free of charge to all entitled personnel,
including all military personnel, Veterans, MOD
civilians and employees of MOD agencies and their respective families.
ALIS Online provides access to services and information to support the work of the
Army, and is available to all military personnel wherever they are posted and at
any time.
