Dear Friends,<br />
Your generosity has meant so much to the health <strong>of</strong> our community.<br />
Because <strong>of</strong> you, the community has two new patient care towers in Walnut Creek <strong>and</strong> Concord with br<strong>and</strong> new exp<strong>and</strong>ed<br />
emergency departments that provide healthcare to everyone who enters the doors. Because <strong>of</strong> you, the community has<br />
available state <strong>of</strong> the art ICUs for adults <strong>and</strong> tiny infants. Because <strong>of</strong> you, community members receive the highest level <strong>of</strong><br />
treatment for heart attacks <strong>and</strong> heart failure. Because <strong>of</strong> you, the new <strong>and</strong> larger Trauma Center will be well-equipped to<br />
serve traumatic injuries in the East Bay for a long time to come.<br />
This has been an outst<strong>and</strong>ing year for <strong>John</strong> <strong>Muir</strong> <strong>Health</strong>. We have the distinction <strong>of</strong> having two <strong>of</strong> the four Magnet nursing<br />
hospitals in the greater Bay Area. Numerous quality awards have been received including recognition from U.S. News &<br />
World <strong>Report</strong>, Thomson Reuters, the American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, <strong>Health</strong> Grades <strong>and</strong> many<br />
others.The opening <strong>of</strong> the two new towers has assured every patient <strong>of</strong> more privacy <strong>and</strong> comfort in a healing environment<br />
which includes room for family members <strong>and</strong> tranquil gardens for their use.<br />
<strong>John</strong> <strong>Muir</strong> <strong>Health</strong> thanks you on behalf <strong>of</strong> the community at large. Listed in this report are the names <strong>of</strong> those who have<br />
helped the campaign, who have contributed to purchases for current needs through the annual fund <strong>and</strong> who have helped<br />
