3. Check for plugged or damaged orifice and missing<br />

or damaged spring. Replace as necessary.<br />

6. If tests indicate valve relief pressure must be<br />

adjusted, add or subtract shims. Shims are<br />

available in 1.02 mm (0.04 in.), 0.51 mm (0.02<br />

in.), and 0.254 mm (0.01 in.) sizes.<br />
