3 no posts installed at junction with Sawbridgeworth<br />

Vehicle Activated Sign<br />

Vehicle Activated sign is due to be positioned at the end<br />

of the month. Agreed location is outside school, but we<br />

suggest for eastbound traffic rather than westbound.<br />

Bus Stop Sign<br />

Bus stop sign has been erected.<br />

Community Speed Watch<br />

Training will take place at 10 am on 13th March. Good<br />

response to <strong>Village</strong> <strong>Magazine</strong> advert.<br />

Speed limit issues<br />

Cllrs Sullivan and Waller met Chris Stoneham ECC<br />

Highways, re engineering measures for speed limit.<br />

Proposal is to position islands as near to the 30 mph<br />

signs as possible on both Stortford and Sawbridgeworth<br />

Roads. Clerk to write to Ian Liddell Shrubbs Farm asking<br />

if combine harvesters need to use Sawbridgeworth Road<br />

as this may affect design.<br />

Clerk to write to residents in locality of Chestnut Close<br />

regarding the erection of a tall low wattage lamp on the<br />

central refuge.<br />

Litter collection<br />

Clerk to write to UDC asking if they are able to collect<br />

litter from approach roads to the village.<br />

PLAY AREA<br />

Open Space<br />

Clerk has circulated a letter from the solicitors of the<br />

Tayler Trustees suggesting that there will be no<br />

relaxation of the clauses on the draft lease. Proposed by<br />

Cllr Sheekey that the lease be signed. Seconded by Cllr<br />

Jones. Carried. Lease signed.<br />

VILLAGE HALL:<br />

There has not been a further meeting of the <strong>Village</strong> Hall<br />

Management Committee. Deferred to next meeting.<br />

Rookwood Hall Appeal<br />

Cllr Jones has received notification of an appeal against a<br />

Refusal for Rookwood Hall. Clerk has not received any<br />

notification. Clerk to contact EFDC<br />

Clerk has now received a reply regarding the garage<br />

being built at <strong>Hatfield</strong> Grange, Sparrow Lane. Garage is<br />

within permitted development and does not require<br />

planning permission.<br />

Oak Lodge<br />

Mrs Hogan has requested written confirmation of<br />

enforcement officers decision relation to Oak Lodge.<br />

Clerk to contact UDC<br />

St Cloud<br />

Clerk passed on details of planning application to Cllr<br />

O’Sullivan regarding works at St Cloud, Matching Road.<br />
