171. CLERKS REPORT: Matters from last meeting and<br />
Action Register Bench in Friars Lane Barry Newman has<br />
installed the bench at the agreed site. Play Area Weather<br />
conditions have prevented repair to play area. Footpath 16<br />
Broken bridge on footpath 16 has been reported to ECC<br />
by Footpaths representative Teresa Mascall Road Repairs<br />
at War Memorial Clerk has spoken to Henry Turtill<br />
regarding a contribution towards the cost of repair to the<br />
road in front of the War Memorial. He has requested<br />
costings for the works. Clerk has approached four<br />
contractors P night, Brymac, JF Knight (Roadworks) and<br />
PD Stonham who have visited the site and will be<br />
submitting their quotations in the next few days. Fairs<br />
Clerk has spoken to Holy Trinity Church who have no<br />
objections to 24/25th April. Mannings have been<br />
informed. They will arrive on site on 21st and be gone by<br />
26th Refuse Collection Clerk has written to UDC<br />
complimenting the refuse collection department for their<br />
work throughout the recent severe weather.<br />
Correspondence Clerk has circulated correspondence<br />
from Mr M R Lawrance regarding the land adjacent to<br />
<strong>Heath</strong> View. There is a meeting taking place at the UDC<br />
Council Offices tomorrow morning ML will attend. Clerk<br />
has received a request from Mrs Delderfield asking that<br />
confirmation be given to the fact that the road in front of<br />
the five houses alongside Chelmsford road is a private<br />
road. Not a parish council matter. Training courses<br />
received from EALC i. Audit & Risk Assessment Day 12<br />
February 10.00 – 4.00 EF & BS are attending ii.<br />
