This building is often referred to as "the most beautiful building on the
campus." Not only is it attractive, but highly functional. too, and it is
admirably adapted to its purpose. Consecrated at services on November
24, 1950 (the twentieth anniversary of the incorporation of the Idaho
Institute), the CCC is demonstrating the wisdom of the planning and
investment of $75,000 which the total property represents.
Another new religious building along the modern line is the Canterbury
House of the Episcopal Church Student Group. Work was begun
in the spring of 1950 with the completion and grand opening of the
building following in the late fall of 1950. This building includes a
lounge, meeting rooms, recreation room, kitchenette and business offices.
The total investment represents about $30,000. Students did much of
the construction themselves.
