Staging the annual Holly Dance just
before Christmas vacation was the big
job of the sophomore class. Mistletoe,
holly wreaths and a huge Christmas tree
decked the halls in the Student Union,
while Willa Schumann was crowned
1951 Holly Queen by President Pat
Duffy. The sophomores' Yuletide spirit
echoed far and wide when they fulfilled
their traditional obligation to ser·
enade every living group, with Prof.
Keith Forney leading. Other wheels for
the class of '53 were John Bengtson,
vice president; Eleanor Powell, secretary;
and Connie Baxter, treasurer.
