As new coeds walked past milling crowds of fraternity men to the sororities of
their choice, the four-day rushing period came to a halt. The days set aside for
rushing had been sprinkled liberally with rush parties, orientation, assemblies
and freshman tests- in fact the only thing left out of the new coeds' lives was
men. Parties of all sizes and types-flapper, western, southern and formalshowed
the new coeds to the living groups where they would begin four college
years.
Prospective P,ledgea for each of Idaho's eight sororities give the houses
a thorough 'qolnq over" before thelr final choice of a livi ng group.
Formal parties climax the five-day rushing/eriod In the fall. Rushees
are pledged the following day after a roun of parUee, entertainment
