As we go to press another chapter of Idaho baseball
is history and it's the same old story. We just can't
win a Northern Division title-in fact we just can't get
away from the depths of the conference cellar. For many
years, the Vandals have been the door-mats in leaque
play and this year is no exception. Losers of 14 consecutive
conference games- and that's all they playedthe
Vandals set some sort of new record for organized
baseball. As has been the case of recent years, it isn't
the fact that the Idaho club couldn't hit- the entire
story behind the losses can be blamed on the fielding
and the fielding alone. Had it not been for unexcusable
errors, the club might have won a few games.
