ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION
Sale of Land – Mrs. Wolsky said an area developer interested in purchasing property adjacent to Calais
and property adjacent to Mountview Road recently approached the District. The land would have to be
put up for public sale but a number of steps would have to be followed before getting to that point. The
first step is to get approval from the Department of Education to dispose of the land, which requires
passing a resolution stating that the land is no longer needed for school purposes.
The Board looked at pictures of the property and discussion followed concerning whether or not this
land would be needed for school purposes in the future. It was determined that the land adjacent to
Calais is not usable by the District but the Board asked for additional clarification before passing a
resolution regarding the Mountview Road property.
