Dr Eddie Roos received a Bachelor of Medical Science degree in 1984 and
a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 1988. He worked in South Africa
for 10 years before moving to Australia in 1998. He began practising
cosmetic medicine in 2001 and in 2004 founded Cosmetic Elegance Clinic in
Toowoomba, Queensland.
Quality of service and offering patients the latest in cosmetic medicine is the
most important priority for Dr Roos and his staff at Cosmetic Elegance Clinic.
Dr Roos has extensive experience and expertise in cosmetic medicine, with
a particular interest in light-based therapies to treat a variety of anti-ageing
skin concerns. Enhancing the natural beauty of patients using non-surgical
procedures is his mission.
He also has a special interest in skin cancer treatment. With more than 25
years diagnosing and treating skin cancer, and his expertise gained in cosmetic
medicine over 13 years, Dr Roos has changed the lives of many people in
Toowoomba and the Downs.
‘Cosmetic Elegance Clinic is the realisation of a long-held dream I have
had. I have always had a keen interest in skin cancer medicine and cosmetic
medical procedures,’ says Dr Roos. ‘Originally I worked in general practice – in
South Africa and then Bowen, Goondiwindi and Withcott in Queensland. As
the cosmetic medicine industry became more accessible I invested in a beauty
salon in Toowoomba from which I offered cosmetic medicine treatments. I
soon realised the synergy that could occur by combining a medical skin
practice with a beauty salon: medical treatments with the best cosmetic
outcome in mind. It was a new concept at the time but I truly believed patients
would benefit from a more holistic approach to skin care. With a dream and
a business plan, Cosmetic Elegance Clinic was born.’
