for the 2011 Baronial Election Process, send greetings<br />

and salutations this day!<br />

Notice is hereby given that His Excellency, the Honorable<br />

Caleb Reynolds, 9th Baron<br />

of the Rhydderich Hael, will be retiring as Baron effective<br />

December 2011.<br />

In accordance with Art.V.1 of the Rhydderich Hael's<br />

Election Policy, we hereby<br />

notify the membership that we will be convening a<br />

meeting to take nominations for<br />

his successor at the Rhydderich Hael's Business<br />

Meeting to be held on Tuesday, April<br />

5, A.S. XLV [CE 2011] at 7:00 PM at the BPOE<br />

Elks Lodge # 1478 Located at 33 Legion<br />

Parkway, Lancaster, NY 14086.<br />

Those seeking to be nominated for Baron and/or Baroness<br />

must meet the following<br />

requirements under At. V.A.4 of the Hael's Baronial<br />

Election Policy:<br />

a. Must be 18 years or older.<br />

b. The Nominees must have valid SCA membership<br />

at any level, which is current<br />

through at least December in the year of the election,<br />

and proof of access to Æstel<br />

at their residence.<br />

c. May not have been the Seneschal of the<br />

Rhydderich Hael at any time after January<br />

1st in the year of the election and may not resume the<br />

office, having left it to run<br />

in the election.<br />

d. Must live with in the geographical borders of the<br />

Barony.<br />

Those nominated will have until Thursday, April<br />

7,2011 to indicate whether or not<br />

they accept nomination and proffer their proof of<br />

current [a] Society membership,<br />

[b] current age and [c] residence in the duly defined<br />

boundaries of the Rhydderich Hale. Ballots, which<br />

will include a polling of Branch Status [i.e., Remain<br />

a Barony, Transfer to Province, Change to Shire, or<br />

Dissolve], will be mailed out in late May 2011.<br />

Completed ballots must be mailed back to the Election<br />

Steward with a postmark NO<br />

LATER THAN WEDNESDAY, June 8, 2011.<br />

Eligible Voters are defined in Art. IV.A. of the<br />

Hael's Baronial Election Policy as:<br />

1. They must be at least fourteen (14) years of age.<br />

2. They must hold a current SCA membership at<br />

the family/associate level or higher.<br />

3. They must reside within the duly constituted geographic<br />

boundaries of the Barony<br />

[including Its Canton of Beau Fleauve] as defined<br />

by the ZIP Codes under Branch<br />

Status.<br />

Ballots will be tabulated at the Baronial Championships<br />

Event scheduled for<br />

Saturday, June 11, 2011, and the results will be announced<br />

at Baronial Court.<br />

Copies of the Baronial Election Policy are available<br />

Paper copies of the Election Policy may be obtained<br />
