within the duly defined boundaries of the SCA,
Inc.--Barony of the Rhydderich Hael and Its Canton
of Beau Fleauve, within the Kingdom of AEthelmearc
does Maestro Brian of Leichester, By the
Grace of the Baronial Council of Officers, Steward
for the 2011 Baronial Election Process, send greetings
and salutations this day!
Notice is hereby given that His Excellency, the Honorable
Caleb Reynolds, 9th Baron
of the Rhydderich Hael, will be retiring as Baron effective
December 2011.
In accordance with Art.V.1 of the Rhydderich Hael's
Election Policy, we hereby
notify the membership that we will be convening a
meeting to take nominations for
his successor at the Rhydderich Hael's Business
Meeting to be held on Tuesday, April
5, A.S. XLV [CE 2011] at 7:00 PM at the BPOE
Elks Lodge # 1478 Located at 33 Legion
Parkway, Lancaster, NY 14086.
Those seeking to be nominated for Baron and/or Baroness
must meet the following
requirements under At. V.A.4 of the Hael's Baronial
Election Policy:
a. Must be 18 years or older.
b. The Nominees must have valid SCA membership
at any level, which is current
through at least December in the year of the election,
and proof of access to Æstel
at their residence.
c. May not have been the Seneschal of the
Rhydderich Hael at any time after January
1st in the year of the election and may not resume the
office, having left it to run
in the election.
d. Must live with in the geographical borders of the
Barony.
Those nominated will have until Thursday, April
7,2011 to indicate whether or not
they accept nomination and proffer their proof of
current [a] Society membership,
[b] current age and [c] residence in the duly defined
boundaries of the Rhydderich Hale. Ballots, which
will include a polling of Branch Status [i.e., Remain
a Barony, Transfer to Province, Change to Shire, or
Dissolve], will be mailed out in late May 2011.
Completed ballots must be mailed back to the Election
Steward with a postmark NO
LATER THAN WEDNESDAY, June 8, 2011.
Eligible Voters are defined in Art. IV.A. of the
Hael's Baronial Election Policy as:
1. They must be at least fourteen (14) years of age.
2. They must hold a current SCA membership at
the family/associate level or higher.
3. They must reside within the duly constituted geographic
boundaries of the Barony
[including Its Canton of Beau Fleauve] as defined
by the ZIP Codes under Branch
Status.
Ballots will be tabulated at the Baronial Championships
Event scheduled for
Saturday, June 11, 2011, and the results will be announced
at Baronial Court.
