Kushkhananaj
2 cups white flour
1 cup wheat flour
1/2 cup sesame oil
3/4+ cup cold water
1 1/2 cup sugar
1+ cup nuts or dried fruit in any combination,
chopped fine (almonds are traditional, but
anything will work; you can also add various
spices as well)
Combine the sugar and nuts in a small bowl.
Mix the flour together, stir in the oil and water;
kneed briefly then divide into 6 parts. Roll
each part out into a rectangle roughly
8"x16" (wider is better, but it will break if too
thin), scatter the filling evenly and roll up like
a pastry roll making sure to seal the ends and
flap with a bit of water.
Bake on baking sheets (preferably with baking
parchment) at 350 degrees for ~45mins
