These courses are primarily for people who have English as their first language. If you want to learn English as another language,<br />

please look for courses with ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages).<br />

Improve your Reading <strong>and</strong> Writing 1 Entry level<br />

Small, friendly classes where you learn to read <strong>and</strong> write <strong>and</strong> study the basics of spelling.<br />

Improve your Reading <strong>and</strong> Writing 2 Entry level<br />

An opportunity to refresh <strong>and</strong> develop reading <strong>and</strong> writing skills. Learn how to read <strong>and</strong> write for different purposes <strong>and</strong> increase<br />

your confidence in spelling <strong>and</strong> punctuation.<br />

Improve your Reading <strong>and</strong> Writing 3 Entry level<br />

Take your reading <strong>and</strong> writing skills to a higher level, increase your confidence <strong>and</strong> get the skills you need to take on important daily<br />

reading <strong>and</strong> writing tasks.<br />

Improving your Reading <strong>and</strong> Writing 4 Level 1<br />

Extend your skills with more complex spelling, punctuation <strong>and</strong> grammar, <strong>and</strong> learn how to structure your writing. Develop fluency<br />

<strong>and</strong> a greater vocabulary in your reading <strong>and</strong> writing.<br />

GCSE English Language Level 2<br />

If you have well developed reading skills, feel confident about your writing <strong>and</strong> need GCSE for access to employment, further<br />

study or for your personal development, this will be a rewarding course for you. Enrolment for GCSE takes place only in June, July,<br />

September <strong>and</strong> October. It is not possible to join a GCSE course in January<br />
