8, Determ<strong>in</strong>ation of Albumen. Measure ur<strong>in</strong>e<br />

passed <strong>in</strong> 24 hours. Drop 50 c. c, one c. c. at a time,<br />

<strong>in</strong>to I ounce boil<strong>in</strong>g distilled water <strong>in</strong> a porcela<strong>in</strong> dish.<br />

If the ur<strong>in</strong>e was alkal<strong>in</strong>e add a drop of acetic acid, avoid<br />

excess. Allow the coagulated albumen to .settle, filter<br />

through a weighed filter, and waslv well Dry at 100° C,<br />

and weigh.<br />
