Issue 2 2013 I DVLA Timed Auction of Personalised Registrations How to Bid 1 2 3 4 5 6 To bid at a DVLA Timed Auction, please follow the 6 simple steps below: Decide which registration(s) you’d like to bid for Find the lot number and the reserve price on pages 8 to 31. The lots are published in alphabetical order. Decide how much you’d like to spend Decide on your spending limit. Don’t forget that there is also VAT and a Buyer’s Premium of 8% (minimum £40) + VAT and an £80 Assignment Fee to be added to the bid price if successful. Have a look at the ‘What Will It Cost?’ table on page 38 to see the final amount you will need to pay based on your bid. When deciding on the value of your bid, remember that bids must be for at least the reserve price and must be in increments of £10. Decide how you’d like to pay Find out when you will need to pay and what payment methods are accepted. See page 39. Read through the Terms & Conditions Ensure you understand the Auctioneers’ Terms & Conditions of Sale and the DVLA Sale of Registrations Marks Regulations on pages 44 – 46. Register for the Auction To submit a bid for a registration in this auction, first of all you will need to register for the auction. Most people prefer to register online. Once you have registered you can submit your bids online. For those with no Internet access please see foot of page. REGiSTERinG On THE inTERnET To register to bid online, please visit the auction website below: www.dvlaauction.co.uk/timed Here you will be able to register securely then place your confidential bids 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until the close of the sale. At the end of the auction, you will be contacted by email if you have been successful. Submit your Bid(s) Once you have registered as a bidder, you can place your bids. You will be able to see the current bid price on each Lot together with the number of bidders interested in each Lot. You will have the freedom to increase your bids up until the deadline. Once placed, bids cannot be removed. This auction operates on the basis of Maximum Bids and features Sliding End Times. Please see pages 5 & 6 for details. BiD DEADLinES Please note that bids will only be accepted from 10am on Monday 17th June until the End Time on Monday 1st July 2013 (see pages 3 & 4 for details). No bids can be accepted by any means after this time. Bidding Without the internet If you do not have access to the Internet, please complete and return the DVLA Timed Auction Registration Form on page 41 and return it to us by post or by fax. Please make sure the form arrives at our office at least 24 hours before the closing day of the auction. At the end of the auction, we will contact you by post if you have been successful.
