Issue 2 2013 I DVLA Timed Auction of Personalised Registrations How to Pay When Do i Pay? If you are successful at the Timed Auction, full payment will be required including all the extras for Buyer’s Premium, VAT and the Assignment Fee. At the end of the sale a 10% deposit will automatically be taken from your nominated debit or credit card. If you have bid online you will be sent an invoice by email showing the outstanding balance. If you have bid by post or by fax you will be notified by post. Payment of the outstanding balance must be made in full within 5 working days from the close of the auction. If full payment is not received within the 5 days, your nominated credit or debit card will automatically be charged. How Can i Pay? Payment can be made by any of the methods listed below. Any payments from overseas bank accounts should be made electronically into the Lloyds TSB bank (details below) or by bankers draft drawn in sterling from a UK bank. PLEASE nOTE THAT PAYMEnT BY CASH iS nOT ACCEPTED. Secure on-line Payment Pay on-line by visiting www.dvlaauction.co.uk/payment using your debit/credit card. Please note that if payment is made by credit card, there is a handling fee of 3% of the total amount to recover the costs levied by the bank. If you would prefer to use the telephone to pay by card please call 0300 123 3500 quoting your customer or lot number. Electronic Funds Transfer Funds can be transferred directly into the SMA Vehicle Remarketing DVLA Client Account as below. Please include the registration number(s) and lot number(s) as reference. Bank: Lloyds TSB Account No: 02545822 Branch: Leeds Sort Code: 30-00-05 internet Banking You can transfer funds online direct from your account into the SMA Vehicle Remarketing DVLA Client Account (details above). In order that we can allocate your payment, you must give the lot number and registration number as a reference. Cheque Payments be cheque con only be made within 5 working days of the auction. Cheques should be made payable to “SMA Vehicle Remarketing DVLA Client Account” and posted to us. Please write the registration number(s) and lot number(s) on the reverse of the cheque. Please note that for clearance purposes cheque payments from foreign bank accounts are not acceptable. We allow 10 working days for cheques to clear so you will not receive documentation for up to 20 working days. Bank Giro Credit You can deposit cash directly into our account (details above), but you MUST produce a photocopy of your paying in slip with the lot number(s) and registration number(s) on the reverse, otherwise we will not be able to check receipt of your funds. Payment by Euro The auction will be conducted in pounds sterling but payment by Euros will also be acceptable providing you possess a Euro cheque book. Cheques in Euros drawn on a Euro bank account will only be accepted and a charge of 0.25% will apply. What Happens next? Within 10 working days of cleared funds being received, the DVLA will send you a Certificate of Entitlement (V750). This will enable you to assign the registration number to a vehicle registered in your name or in that of the nominee. If you buy more than one registration, Certificates of Entitlement will not be issued until payment has been received in full for all registrations. 39
Issue 2 2013 I DVLA Timed Auction of Personalised Registrations DVLA Timed Auction Registration Form – Notes We strongly recommend that you register online as you will only receive notification if you have been outbid if you register online. Follow the link from: www. dvlaauction.co.uk/timed If you have no access to the Internet, please follow the instructions below then fill in and return the form on the next page. 1. ABOUT YOU – inDiViDUAL BiDDER DETAiLS This section must be completed in full in all cases (unless you have already registered online) with your personal details including your home address. The details you enter will appear on the V750 Certificate of Entitlement and on the invoice unless the section About You – Company Bidder Details is completed. In this case the company details will appear. A landline contact number must be given in order for your bid to be processed. 2 PAYMEnT DETAiLS Please supply details of a valid debit or credit card registered in your name and at the address given. If you are successful with your bid we shall charge this card for the 10% deposit and the full amount unless payment is made by another method within 5 working days. If payment is made by credit card, there is a handling fee of 3%. There is no handling fee for debit cards. 3 COMPAnY BiDDER DETAiLS This section should also be completed in full if the registration is being purchased on behalf of a company. The company details will then appear on the V750 Certificate of Entitlement and on the invoice. 4 MAXiMUM BiDS Let us know which lot(s) you wish to bid on and indicate your Maximum Bid for that lot. Bids will not be accepted below the reserve price and must be in increments of £10. Bidding starts at the reserve price on each registration. If there is competitive bidding on a lot, the auctioneers will increase bids on behalf of bidders up to their Maximum Bid. Please note that “either/or” bids cannot be accepted. Please note that if you are successful, the lot will be sold to you for the amount of your winning bid. No negotiations will be entered into after the auction. In addition, remember that you will have to pay VAT on the bid price, the Buyer’s Premium of 8% (minimum £40) +VAT and the £80 Assignment Fee. 5 nOMinEE DETAiLS If you are purchasing a registration for or on behalf of someone else this section should also be completed. This will allow the registration to be assigned either to a vehicle registered in your name as the purchaser or to your named nominee. Please note that individual’s forenames or initials must also be supplied. Nominee details without this information will not be accepted. Nominee details can only be altered/added at a later date upon application with payment of a fee (currently £25). 6 DECLARATiOn Once the Terms & Conditions have been read, all applications must be signed and dated by the registered bidder. Failure to do so will result in the application not being processed.
