Issue 2 2013 I DVLA Timed Auction of Personalised Registrations Important Points 1 2 3 4 5 Purchasing your Registration n Registrations are not sold for less than reserve. n Registrations cannot be purchased before the auction. n If unsold, registrations cannot be bought after the auction. Bidding Strategy n Bids are submitted on a “Maximum Bid” basis. “Maximum Bids” are not visible to any other bidder. n Bidding starts at the Reserve price. If there is competitive bidding, bids will automatically be taken in £10 increments up to your Maximum Bid. n We strongly recommend you place your Maximum Bid early as there is no advantage to leaving your bid until the last minute. n We do not recommend bidding using internet access from a mobile phone or similar device due to reduced visibility of the website. Close of the Auction n Each lot in the DVLA Timed Auction has an End Time which is shown on the website. Please note that this will be extended in the event of last minute competitive bidding activity. n The DVLA Timed Auction will close on Monday 1st July 2013 (see website for precise End Times). n No bids will be accepted after the Lot closes. Payment n You will be liable for all bids made using your bidder details. n If you are successful, the price you will pay will be your winning bid price, in addition to VAT on the bid price, an 8% (minimum £40) + VAT and an £80 Assignment Fee. n Your credit or debit card details must be provided in order to register as a bidder. If you are successful, your nominated card will automatically be charged with a 10% deposit. An invoice will then be sent to you. n The balance of the payment must be made within 5 working days. n If full payment is not received within the 5 days, your nominated card will be charged with the full outstanding balance. Representation n You cannot use a registration number to make a vehicle look younger than it is. n Warning: It is an offence to alter, re-arrange or misrepresent a registration number. There is a maximum fine of £1,000 and the registration number can be withdrawn without compensation. 7
