Home sales continue
to rise in Midwest
Sales of newly built, single-family
homes rose 6.8 percent to a seasonally
adjusted annual rate of 517,000 units in
April, according to newly released data
from HUD and the U.S. Census Bureau.
The U.S. Commerce Department reported
that May saw the highest level of housing
production since November 2007.
Meanwhile, limited inventories have
pushed up prices for existing homes, said
the Wall Street Journal. That has helped
close the gap in cost between typically
more expensive new homes and previously
owned properties – good news for buyers
seeking new construction.
Here’s what’s new in new homes:
Fischer & Frichtel to grand-open display
at Pevely Farms
Looking for a way to make Father’s Day
weekend truly special this year? Whether dad
is a golfer or not, consider bringing him out
for the grand opening of Fischer & Frichtel’s
majestic new display model in The Manors
of Pevely Farms on Saturday, June 20.
One of the original home builders in
this spectacular golf/residential community,
Fischer & Frichtel made a triumphant
return to Pevely Farms this spring, acquiring
18 additional homesites and instantly
gaining the attention of upscale buyers. In
fact, community sales manager Julie Chettle
reports that four of these settings have
already been purchased.
Located just a mile from the intersection
of Interstate 44 and Lewis Road, the residential
section of Pevely Farms extends
along a densely wooded highland with
panoramic views of the Meramec Valley.
The landscape creates a perfect backdrop
for the firm’s new Vista Collection, five
stunning ranch and 1.5-story designs with
3,512 to 4,105 square feet of lavish living
space, starting from $589,900.
Enhancing the value of these fine homes
are three-car side-entry garages, generous
applications of masonry on front elevations
(per plan), James Hardie siding, architectural
shingles, zoned heating and cooling, and an
exceptional list of premium interior amenities.
Making its grand entrance is the fourbedroom
Nantucket II, one of two ranches
offered with a price-included finished
lower level. Rich with brick and stone,
the display is set on a tree-lined homesite
adjoining the course.
capabilities, the display showcases elaborate
trim work, a 12-foot ceiling in the fireside
great room, floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace in
the hearth room, designer closet in the master
retreat and an oversize Jack-and-Jill bath
serving the main-floor auxiliary bedrooms.
Numerous windows illuminate the lower
level’s entertainment area and guest suite.
Chettle welcomes inquiries at (636)
429-2500 or (314) 429-2500, adding, “The
Nantucket II is a must-see, and the views
here are absolutely breathtaking!”
