The office provides emergency response,<br />
emergency medical services,<br />
public safety education, <strong>and</strong> fire prevention<br />
<strong>and</strong> response. The department<br />
predominantly serves the <strong>Rutgers</strong>–New<br />
Brunswick/Piscataway campuses, however,<br />
many services are provided <strong>to</strong> all<br />
university properties statewide.<br />

under one purchasing policy <strong>and</strong><br />

starting July 1. All employees who were<br />
assigned <strong>to</strong> <strong>Rutgers</strong> prior <strong>to</strong> integration<br />
will continue <strong>to</strong> use the <strong>Rutgers</strong> Integrated<br />
Administrative System (RIAS)<br />
while legacy UMDNJ employees will<br />
continue <strong>to</strong> use the MarketPlace system<br />
in Banner for their purchasing needs.<br />
This will remain in place until administra<strong>to</strong>rs<br />
have decided which single<br />
system best suits the needs of the<br />
new <strong>Rutgers</strong>.<br />
