Yellow clay (1OYR 7/8) with predominantly<br />

red inclusions; fine slip <strong>of</strong> the same yellow color<br />

over all the surface. A small part <strong>of</strong> the original<br />

circumference is preserved; lower part <strong>of</strong> the lip is<br />

missing. Eroded surface with chipped edges.<br />

Overhanging rim, articul<strong>at</strong>ed with pendulous, in-<br />

ward slanting lip; slightly convex top with fl<strong>at</strong>tened<br />

inner edge. <strong>The</strong> outer side <strong>of</strong> the lip is modeled with<br />

a group <strong>of</strong> three ridges and a fl<strong>at</strong> band. <strong>The</strong> bottom<br />

ridge is covered by a dark red band.<br />

Impure, reddish yellow clay (7.5YR 7/6) with<br />

predominantly gray inclusions. Fine, very pale<br />

brown slip (1OYR 8/6). A very small part <strong>of</strong> the<br />

original circumference is preserved. Eroded and<br />

chipped surface.<br />

Overhanging rim, articul<strong>at</strong>ed with pendulous lip;<br />

horizontal top, perhaps with much fl<strong>at</strong>tened outer<br />

edge. <strong>The</strong> outer side <strong>of</strong> the lip is modeled with two<br />

groups <strong>of</strong> three ridges <strong>of</strong> varying height, separ<strong>at</strong>ed<br />

by a central space. Wide, altern<strong>at</strong>ely dark red and<br />

brown bands cover the ridges. One ridge is<br />

unpainted.<br />

Very pale brown clay (1OYR 8/3) with many<br />

gray inclusions. Same fine, pale brown slip. A<br />

small part <strong>of</strong> the original circumference is pre-<br />

served, in two fragments. Eroded and chipped<br />

surface, with some incrust<strong>at</strong>ions.<br />

Overhanging rim, articul<strong>at</strong>ed with a pendulous,<br />

slightly inward slanting lip; horizontal top. <strong>The</strong> out-<br />

er side <strong>of</strong> the lip is modeled with a group <strong>of</strong> three and<br />

a group <strong>of</strong> two ridges <strong>of</strong> varying height, separ<strong>at</strong>ed by<br />

a central space. <strong>The</strong> three upper ridges are, in turn,<br />

brown, unpainted, and red; the lower pair are cov-<br />

ered by a wide brown band. <strong>The</strong> top and bottom<br />

bands reach the outer top edge <strong>of</strong> the rim and the<br />

underside <strong>of</strong> the lip respectively.<br />

Impure, pink clay (7.5YR 7/4) with predom-<br />

inantly gray inclusions. Fine, very pale brown slip<br />

ference is preserved. Much eroded surface.<br />

Circular base in the form <strong>of</strong> an inverted echinus,<br />

probably with a pr<strong>of</strong>ile which is widened <strong>at</strong> the bot-<br />

tom. <strong>The</strong> upper part is modeled with two ridges <strong>of</strong><br />

varying height. A wide, dark red band covers the up-<br />

per ridge and part <strong>of</strong> the lower.<br />

upper part is modeled with two ridges, one covered<br />

by a dark red, the other by a brown band.<br />

predominantly gray inclusions. Fine, yellow slip<br />

(1OYR 7/6) on the outer surface <strong>of</strong> the rim. A<br />

small part <strong>of</strong> the original circumference is pre-<br />

served; lower part <strong>of</strong> lip missing. Much eroded<br />

surface, somewh<strong>at</strong> chipped.<br />

Overhanging rim, articul<strong>at</strong>ed with pendulous,<br />

slightly inward slanting lip; slightly convex top. <strong>The</strong><br />

outer side <strong>of</strong> the lip is modeled with one group <strong>of</strong><br />

three ridges <strong>of</strong> varying height, a central space, and<br />

another group <strong>of</strong> ridges <strong>of</strong> which only the beginning<br />

<strong>of</strong> the ridge is preserved. <strong>The</strong> ridges are, in turn,<br />

brown, unpainted, and red. On the lowest, partial<br />

ridge there are traces <strong>of</strong> a brown band. <strong>The</strong> upper<br />

brown band reaches the outer top edge <strong>of</strong> the rim.<br />
