13 | P a g e <strong>Student</strong> Information Expectations for student conduct: Demonstrate respect for people and school property Be honest, courteous and polite Respect the property of others Settle differences peacefully and respect the rights of their peers Display good sportsmanship and proper behavior at school-related functions Take pride in their school by keeping their school building and grounds clean Take responsibility for their behavior and learning Complete all homework, class work and other requested assignments Accept constructive criticism and suggestions for improvement when necessary and appropriate Accept the consequences of their actions Be properly dressed and groomed Be free of drugs and alcohol Attend school regularly and punctually Use equipment appropriately Respect books and materials Follow rules and procedures prescribed by teachers and administrators Be prepared for class by bringing materials necessary for participation Accept and assume leadership when appropriate Hall Etiquette Maintain a moderate to low speaking volume while in the halls Avoid loitering Walk to the right side of the hall and stair Eat only in the cafeteria and lounge Maintain a temperate pace while in transit All students must have a pass when traveling during class time Dress Code The school uniform code is as follows: Light Blue or White collared shirt Solid Black, Navy Blue or Khaki Bottoms (pants, slacks, and/or skirt) HATS, WAVE CAPS, BANDANAS, OR ANY HEADDRESSES CANNOT BE WORN IN THE BUILDING. ELECTRONICS CELL PHONES, I-PODS, ETC) MUST REMAIN OFF AND OUT OF SIGHT THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL DAY. The only safe-zones are THE SPOT and the cafeteria.
