24 | P a g e GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS The Asbury Park School District requires all students to earn 120 credits and demonstrate proficiency in all sections of the High School Proficiency Assessment (HSPA) prior to being awarded a high school diploma. The HSPA will be administered in the spring of 11 th grade. Students who fail to achieve a proficient score on any section of the state developed test will be retested in grade 12. Students who are unable to demonstrate proficiency on the HSPA must complete the Alternate High School Assessment (AHSA) process as an alternate test instrument to the HSPA.
