Following elements notably are criticised, with significantly higher (very) negative scores:<br />
• <strong>the</strong> transparency <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> evaluation process : 34 % <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> respondents (strongly)<br />
disagree that <strong>the</strong> evaluation process is fully transparent;<br />
• <strong>the</strong> smoothness and efficiency <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> contract negotiation : 31 % <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> respondents<br />
(strongly) disagrees that this process was smooth and efficient;<br />
• <strong>the</strong> comprehensiveness <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> feedback : 27 % <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> respondents declared not to be<br />
satisfied (at all) with <strong>the</strong> comprehensiveness <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> feedback received on <strong>the</strong><br />
evaluation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir proposal.<br />
Looking at <strong>the</strong> <strong>the</strong>matic areas, <strong>the</strong> highest rates <strong>of</strong> (very) negative scores were obtained in<br />
‘life sciences, genomics and biotechnology for health’; and in ‘sustainable development,<br />
global change and eco-systems’.<br />
