Despite technological innovations, flour production and consumption in the<br />

region has been declining due to decreasing demand. Albania is the only<br />

WBC experiencing an increase in flour production and consumption.<br />

7.2.2 Consumption<br />

A number of WBCs (Serbia and Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina,<br />

the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), with the prospect of further<br />

integration into the EU, may be regarded as having the lowest growth potential<br />

for the consumption of wheat and wheat flour.<br />
