ACTING FOR ADULTS II<br />

Monologue and Scene Study Intensive<br />

In this class, students who have been introduced<br />

to the art of acting either by taking<br />

Part 1 or who have had previous experience<br />

will do more intensive script work. They<br />

will continue the development of their skills<br />

through games and exercises and apply<br />

them to monologues and scenes which are<br />

rehearsed and performed in class.<br />

Spring classes begin May 6<br />

Tuesdays, 7–9 pm<br />

$100 for 6 weeks<br />

$65 if taken after taking Acting for Adults I<br />

THEATER PRODUCTION WORKSHOP<br />

The Theatre Workshop Production is<br />

an opportunity for amateur actors to<br />

perform an evening of short one-act plays<br />

especially selected for them and directed<br />

by an established theatre director. The<br />

Workshop spans eight weeks. There will be<br />

two rehearsals a week for six weeks and<br />

the play will be performed for a weekend.<br />

This workshop begins February 7, 2008 and<br />

concludes April 20, 2008. Please call the<br />

PLAYWRITING WORKSHOP<br />

This workshop explores the playwriting<br />

process. Students are introduced to the<br />

basics of character, action, setting, and<br />

event for the stage.<br />

Fall semester begins September 19<br />

Spring semester begins January 30<br />

Wednesdays, 7–9 pm; $160 for 10 sessions<br />

INTRODUCTION TO DIRECTING<br />

This class will introduce students to textual<br />

analysis, production conceptualization, the<br />

rehearsal process, staging, and blocking.<br />

Traditional and non traditional directing<br />

approaches will be explored.<br />

Tuesdays, 7–9 pm; $175<br />

PERFORMANCE POETRY FOR ADULTS<br />

Working with professional performancebased<br />

poets, students will create and<br />

perform poetry pieces based on both<br />

individual and group work. Opportunities<br />

to perform at in-house events will happen<br />

throughout the year.<br />
