& PROCEDURES
FEES
The Abrons Arts Center reserves the right to
discontinue the enrollment of any student who
does not comply with its payment policies.
Registration
There is a (non-refundable) $25 registration
fee for all students. This fee is charged per
student or per immediate family (parents,
children, siblings, grandparents, and supervising
guardians) for the school year
(September–June).
Early Bird Registration Discount
Students who register for the Fall Term
between Tuesday 14 August and Tuesday
28 August 2007 will receive a 10% discount
off of group class tuition fees. Students
who register for the Spring Term between
Wednesday 2 January and Wednesday
16 January 2008 will receive a 10% discount
off of group class tuition fees.
Late Registration
A $25 late registration fee will be charged
for (non-auditing) students who register
after 21 September 2007 for Fall, 2 February
2008 for Spring. Tuition will not be prorated.
Required Deposit
The required deposit for all classes is 50% of
the total tuition plus the $25 registration fee.
The balance is due before 1 December 2007
for Fall, 27 April 2008 for Spring.
Payment Plan
Registrants who do not pay in full by the
first day of class will be placed on a bi-weekly
payment plan. For registrants on payment
plans, the remaining balance must be paid
in 5 installments. Bi-weekly payments for
the Fall must be made by 6 October, 20
October, 3 November, 17 November, and 1
December 2007. Bi-weekly payments for
the Spring must be made by 2 March, 16
March, 30 March, 13 April, and 27 April 2008.
Balances not paid in full by 1 December for
the Fall or 27 April for the Spring will be
charged a $25 late payment fee. Students
will not be allowed to continue class if balances
are not paid by required dates.
Full Year Discount
Students who register for the full year
receive a $50 discount off of each group
class (Musical Ensemble classes are exempt
from this offer). The total year’s fees must
be paid at the time of registration.
Returned Checks
All checks returned for insufficient funds will
be subject to a $20 returned check fee.
DROPS & REFUNDS
All drops must be requested in writing using
our Drop Request Form and must be submitted
to the Registration Office in person.
Before the start of classes
Full payment (minus the registration fee) will
be refunded when the Registration Office
receives a completed Drop Request Form by
11 September 2007 for the Fall or 22 January
2008 for the Spring.
After classes have begun
A pro-rated refund will be processed when
the Registration Office receives a completed
Drop Request Form by 5 October 2007 for
Fall or 16 February 2008 for Spring. There
are no refunds or credits if the Drop Request
form is received after the third scheduled
class session. If a student drops a class after
the above dates, the registrant remains liable
for the entire semester fees. The balance
and any applicable late payment fees will
remain on your account until it is paid in full.
Refund Method
All refunds will be paid through a check
issued by the Henry Street Settlement.
The check will be issued in the name of
the registrant and mailed to the address
provided on the Registration form. Please
allow three weeks for receipt of your refund.
Class Cancellations
Full refunds (tuition and registration fee)
will be given if the Arts Center cancels a
class for any reason. The Abrons Arts Center
cannot be responsible for providing refunds
or credits for classes missed as a result
