Nature Trail on <strong>the</strong> Rotgüldensee<br />
Muhr, <strong>the</strong> “National Park Village”<br />
This self-guided trail generally takes you along <strong>the</strong> exist<strong>in</strong>g road: Ten<br />
large <strong>in</strong>formation boards provide details about plant and animal life<br />
<strong>in</strong>side <strong>the</strong> National Park, punctuat<strong>in</strong>g your walk to your f<strong>in</strong>al dest<strong>in</strong>ation<br />
– Rotgüldensee Lake. Start: Arsenhaus, term<strong>in</strong>us for <strong>the</strong> post bus.<br />
Time-on-Trail: about 1 hour, approximately 400-meter elevation change.<br />

Magic Forest Adventure Path<br />
Muhr, <strong>the</strong> National Park Village<br />
Great attractions such as a kids‘ climb<strong>in</strong>g web, a log balanc<strong>in</strong>g path,<br />
a dwarfs‘ village, a touch path, <strong>the</strong> many native forest animals just<br />
wait<strong>in</strong>g to be discovered and so much more, make this walk<strong>in</strong>g loop a<br />
great experience for big and small. The wood cutter’s hut at <strong>the</strong> end of<br />
<strong>the</strong> path <strong>in</strong>vites you to rest and even grill (by prior arrangement) over<br />

Ried<strong>in</strong>gtal Nature Park <strong>in</strong> Zederhaus<br />
Due to its absolutely enchant<strong>in</strong>g countryside, Ried<strong>in</strong>gtal Valley is a<br />
popular excursion dest<strong>in</strong>ation for young and old. The natural features<br />
and glorious scenery of this area on <strong>the</strong> edge of <strong>the</strong> Radstädter Tauern<br />
range are simply astonish<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

Göriach Hut Village<br />
An Alp<strong>in</strong>e village that is unique, one which you can easily reach<br />
whe<strong>the</strong>r you are a senior citizen or push<strong>in</strong>g a pram. From <strong>the</strong> last car<br />
park, you are barely a 5-m<strong>in</strong>ute walk away (a total of 9 huts, 1 of which<br />
serves refreshments).<br />

Preber Sports & Recreation Region<br />
Located not far from Tamsweg and easy to reach is <strong>the</strong> Preber Region,<br />
one of <strong>the</strong> most popular excursions for locals and visitors alike, whe<strong>the</strong>r<br />
that be hik<strong>in</strong>g, bik<strong>in</strong>g, or tak<strong>in</strong>g a romantic stroll around <strong>the</strong> lake and<br />
stopp<strong>in</strong>g at one of <strong>the</strong> huts along <strong>the</strong> way.<br />

The beauty and diversity of <strong>the</strong> mounta<strong>in</strong>ous countryside of <strong>the</strong> Hohe<br />
Tauern National Park is <strong>the</strong> ma<strong>in</strong> reason it belongs to <strong>the</strong> largest national<br />
park <strong>in</strong> Central Europe. The Mur – Austria’s second-largest river – has its<br />
headwaters <strong>in</strong> this community. And it is from <strong>the</strong>re that <strong>the</strong> annual “Tour<br />
de Mur” bike race sets out every year.<br />
