WINTER OUTREACH
Encouraged by our Catholic Social Teachings:
“Option for the Poor and Vulnerable” and
“Solidarity”, the SRA Parish Family is once again
invited to participate in St. Louis Winter Outreach.
In a society marred by division between rich and
poor, we are reminded of the story of the Last Judgment.
Each year, many individuals and families, without
decent housing, spend their nights on the streets of
St. Louis. Winter is particularly hard for them. In an
effort to reach out to our “brethren” who will need
warmth and food, we are asking for help in providing
meals to a shelter during the coldest months.
Drivers are also needed to deliver the meals to
Americorps at 1315 Ann Street on our assigned evenings.
Drivers and others are welcome to come and
visit and/or serve on these evenings:
January 11, 12 & 13
February 8, 9 & 10
Food needed : 9x13 Hot Casserole, Salad & Dressing
(12 servings), Simple Dessert (12 servings).
Food is to be dropped off at Faenger Hall by 5:15
pm. If necessary, arrangements can be made to pick
it up from your home.
If you check out a key from the rectory, please
return the keys after your event by placing them
in the rectory mail slot. Thank you for your cooperation.
