COMPLETED PROJECTS:1. Construction of one supper passage and one Culvert:The project of construction of one super passage andone culvert in Qazal Sai Village of Ali Abad District ofKunduz Province (Grant Agreement No, G-CGSGKZ040-262) has been closed. By theimplementation of this project the farmers canincrease productivity of their yield, the people of thecommunity can receive short term employment thatcan assist with their economic situation, and thisproject will further boost ties between the localgovernment and the communities and will helpbringing stability and security in the region.2. Procurement of Furniture for Gharaw Qeshlaq School:The project of procurement of furniture for GharawQeshlaq School in Gharaw Qeshlaq Village ofChardarah District, Kunduz Province (GrantAgreement No, G-CGSGKZ062-362) has been closed.The project would be directly addresses the stabilityobject of increasing education in local children.Furthermore, such projects are effective stabilizationtools given their quick, high impact and potential toovercome and combat the influence of militancy,whose attitude to education is often at odds with thatof the local population.3. Procurement of Furniture for Bolak Awal School:The project of procurement of furniture for Bolak AwolSchool in Bolak Awal Village, Center of KunduzProvince (Grant Agreement No, G-CGSGKZ074-366)has been closed. The project would be directlyaddresses the stability object of increasing educationin local children. The project would be directly impactthe students and teachers at Bolak Awal Schoolthrough creating a better learning environmental.Community members would also indirectly benefitfrom improved educational services for their children.In addition, through opportunities for interaction provided during project implementation, boththe government and local population will benefit from improved communication channels, whichwill create a foundation for increased mutual trust.4. Rehabilitation and Graveling of a 2.5-km Road:The project of rehabilitation and graveling of a 2.5km road in Bahadar Mir Alam Village of Ali AbadDistrict of Kunduz Province (Grant Agreement No, G-CGSGKZ077-377) has been closed. Theproject will help improve local access to neighboring villages, market, schools, health clinics, andgovernment services. Local farmers will also be able to transport their goods to main marketsmore rapidly, which will improve not only their income generating capacity, but also the35
