Heating Mantles - Metal Container MantlesHEATINGPAINT CAN MANTLESThese arson-detection mantles are specifiedby the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, andFirearms* for use in arson investigations andfit the three sizes of paint cans in whichevidence is most often collected. Therecommended procedure heats fire debris tovaporize suspected accelerants, which, ifpresent, are collected in a charcoal tube foranalysis.
